撮影：April2015　弘前公園の満開の美しい桜吹雪の映像（ディスカバーニッポン）。この公園は、津軽統一を果たした津軽氏の居城。弘前城天守や櫓、城門が当時の姿を伝える。統一を果たした初代藩主、為信(ためのぶ)が慶長8年(1603)に計画、2代藩主 信枚(のぶひら)が慶長16(1611)に完成させた城。天守閣を中心にソメイヨシノをはじめシダレザクラ、ヤエザクラなど約50種2600本の桜が咲き誇り、春は大勢の人出で賑わう。
